ABPN SELF-ASSESSMENT CME

The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology has reviewed the ACNS Annual Meeting & Courses and has approved the activity as part of a comprehensive self-assessment (SA) CME activity, which is mandated by the ABMS as a necessary component of continuing certification.

This activity awards up to 25.2 AMA PRA Category 1TM credits, of which 21 are approved as Self-Assessment CME credits.

To qualify for SA-CME credits, Annual Meeting & Course participants must:

  1. Register for the SA-CME track when registering to attend the 2025 Annual Meeting & Courses. There is no additional charge for ACNS members, but a nominal fee applies for non-members;
  2. Attend designated sessions onsite in Baltimore. Sessions for which SA-CME are offered are denoted in the Preliminary Program and on the registration form with an (SA) symbol;
  3. Complete self-assessment questions presented during the session. Each SA-designated session will include five (5) SA questions, and a participant must answer a minimum of 25 questions to qualify for SA-CME credits.

Credits are calculated by clock hour, so a 90-minute session is worth 1.5 credits. The minimum number of SA sessions one must attend to qualify is five (5), totaling 7.5 credits. The program would allow a participant to choose up to 13 SA-designated sessions for a total of 21 SA-CME credits.

Self-assessment questions will be presented in the Annual Meeting & Courses mobile app. Additional instructions will be provided ahead of the meeting.
