Call for Committee Volunteers - Applications due November 1

If you are interested in greater involvement with ACNS, now is the time to volunteer to serve on a committee! Committees carry out the strategic work of the Society and support the Council in moving ACNS forward.

Committee Charges, Tasks, Time Commitment
The complete list of ACNS committees, their charges, related tasks, and average annual time commitment can be found on the Governance section of the ACNS website. Members interested in serving are strongly encouraged to review the details and schedule of each committee's activities to determine which committees best align with their skills and experience.

Committee Terms
Most committee members serve three-year terms, which are renewable for a second term at the discretion of the ACNS President. ACNS leadership takes into account committee members' attendance and participation, as well as feedback from committee co-chairs, when making reappointment decisions.

Members wishing to serve a second term on the same committee do not need to submit a volunteer form.

Current Committee Members
Members currently serving on ACNS committees can find the details of these appointments, including term dates, on their member profiles. Login using the instructions below and click "Committee Service History" on the left side of the page.

To volunteer to serve on an ACNS committee for the 2025-26 membership year:

• Visit the ACNS website, click "Login" at the top of the page, and enter your ACNS credentials (note: As of August 12, ACNS has upgraded its online member database. As a result, all users with an existing account on the ACNS website must reset their passwords when logging in for the first time.);
• Click "Volunteer for a Committee" in the middle of the Member Dashboard page;
• Select the committee(s) for which you wish to volunteer. Members may volunteer for a maximum of two committees per year;
• Complete the volunteer form, including a brief statement outlining why you wish to serve on the specified committee and your experience relevant to the committee’s charges.

This will be the only committee appointment period for 2025-26. If you wish to volunteer for a committee, please do so now.

Committee appointments will be finalized no later than January and terms will begin at the Annual Meeting & Courses in February.

The deadline to submit a volunteer form is Friday, November 1, 2024.
